Boris Gondov (1935)
1935 – Born in Sofia.
1959 – Graduated from the National Art Academy, Major in Sculpture with Professor Marko Markov.
1962 – Became member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
1970–2011 – Lecturing in Sculpture at the National Art Academy.
1987–1992 – Rector of the National Art Academy.
Boris Gondov has been awarded a number of state honourable distinctions and prizes of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria and other public organizations in the country. His works are proudly owned by the National Art Gallery, Sofia City Art Gallery, as well as by various other galleries and collections in Bulgaria and abroad – Art Dialogue in Paris, the Hugo Voeten collection in Belgium, the Nagasaki collection in Japan, etc.
