Dr. Filip Lipiński, art historian and Americanist. Works at the Department of Art History at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. Main research interests include modern and contemporary art, history of American art, methodology and theory of art history and visual culture. In 2007-2008 a Fulbright Fellow at City University of New York, Terra Foundation for American Art Fellow in France (2008) and the US (2013). Member of College Art Association, AICA, Polish Association of Art Historians and Polish Association of American Studies. Author of many academic articles in such journals as Artium Questiones, Quart or Didaskalia. His book The Virtual Hopper. Images in a Remembering Look is to be published by Mikołaj Kopernik University Press in the Fall 2013.
